How It Works

Same rules you already know. We've added Battle Cards — abilities that make a good move devastating. They reward skill. They don't replace it.

Pick Your Club

Choose your club at launch. Your club defines your board, your cards, and your place in the competitive narrative. Twelve clubs arrive across twelve seasons.

Build Your Loadout

Before each match, equip up to five Battle Cards to your pieces. Each card has an ability tied to a specific piece type. Declare it. Play it. Watch it fire.

Play Real Chess

Standard rules. Legal moves only. Cards shift outcomes in roughly 15–25% of evenly matched games. The better chess player wins — always.

Win, Progress, Climb

Wins build your ELO rating, unlock new tiers, and grow your card collection. Every win counts. Every loss teaches. The better you get, the further you go.

What We
Promise You.

Chess skill is always the primary determinant of who wins. Cards shift outcomes in roughly 15–25% of evenly matched games. Outside that range, the better chess player wins. This ratio is tracked and enforced every season.
We will never sell pay-to-win advantages. Every card that affects gameplay is earnable through play. The top tier requires 1,400 ELO — money cannot buy that.
We won't expand the economy until the game proves itself. Real economic features wait until alpha demonstrates 40% Day-7 retention across 500 players. We are not putting a bigger system on top of an unproven game.
We are building for chess players first. Every design decision prioritises the player who shows up wanting to play great chess. If a feature wouldn't survive that filter, it doesn't ship.
